Arini Siddiqui

Outreach Volunteer

Arini is am aspiring psychotherapist with a strong interest in working with children and adolescents, particularly in the areas of trauma, family dynamics, and anxiety. Drawn to the Centre for Psychodynamic Insights for its commitment to community care and depth-oriented psychotherapy, she is eager to support the Centre’s initiatives while learning more about the field. Arini brings so much experience to her role, through volunteering as a distress line and peer support worker at the University of Waterloo, where she provides one-on-one emotional support. She also previously supported clients through the Ontario Disability Support Program and contributed as a Research Assistant at the Wisdom and Culture Lab, where she analyzed qualitative data. Deeply committed to increasing mental health accessibility for underserved populations, including low-income individuals, students, and those with addictions, Arini is motivated by a desire to make therapy more inclusive and equitable. Outside of her professional interests, Arini enjoys reading, writing, and exploring new places around the world. She is currently learning guitar and likes baking and cooking.
