Group Therapy
Coming Soon!
Group psychotherapy is a relational form of treatment based on the understanding that many emotional and interpersonal difficulties develop, and can be worked through, in relationships with others.
In a psychodynamic group, a small number of participants meet regularly with a trained clinician in a confidential, thoughtfully facilitated setting. Rather than following a fixed curriculum, the group focuses on thoughts, emotions, and relational patterns as they emerge in the here and now of the group experience. This allows participants to explore themes such as intimacy, trust, boundaries, conflict, and self-understanding.
Over time, the group becomes an interpersonal space where insights are formed and new ways of relating can be experienced.
Coming soon: Our psychodynamic group therapy offerings are currently in development. If you are interested in participating, please contact us to be added to the waitlist, and a member of our team will follow up as groups become available.
What Does Group Therapy Look Like?
What Can I Expect At This Clinic?
At the Centre for Psychodynamic Insights, group therapy is offered in a professional and confidential virtual setting. Groups are carefully composed to support psychological safety and depth of exploration.
Before joining a group, participants will engage in a 20-minute consultation to ensure readiness and fit. Our clinicians prioritize ethical practice, clinical integrity, and a respectful therapeutic environment. Throughout the process, emphasis is placed on curiosity, reflection, awareness, and emotional attunement rather than advice-giving or surface-level discussion.
As a fully virtual clinic, all group sessions are conducted online, allowing participants to engage in therapy from anywhere in Canada.

What Are The Frequency Of Sessions?
Psychodynamic group therapy typically meets once per week virtually at a consistent day and time. Sessions are structured to provide continuity, depth, and enough regular contact to support meaningful therapeutic work.
Group length, duration, and total number of sessions will vary depending on the specific group and clinical focus. Details will be shared with participants prior to enrolment, following an initial consultation.
