Jason Holtz, MA, RP
Registered Psychotherapist
I bring over 20 years of experience working with patients from varied and often complex life circumstances. I work with all individuals from diverse cultural, social, and economic backgrounds including LGBTQ+ communities. My work is guided by a deep respect for each patient’s worldview, lived experience, culture, family system, community ties, and personal history. My approach is psychodynamic (Adlerian), yet I understand that healing looks different for everyone and tailor therapy to honour each patient’s unique context and values.

Sessions with Jason
I work to help patients feel heard and understood by exploring how early life experiences and core beliefs shape current emotional patterns, relationships, self-worth, and coping strategies. Alongside this insight-based work, I focus on building practical, real-life skills such as emotional regulation, distress tolerance, substance usage management with relapse prevention, communication, boundary-setting, and coping with urges or impulses. I integrate mindfulness and motivational interviewing strategies to help patients feel safe and comfortable within themselves, stay present with difficult emotions, and develop a stronger sense of grounding and self-trust. I offer virtual therapy only, providing a place of safety to be heard and seen in the comfort of the patient’s space. If you would be interested in working together, please schedule a free 20-minute phone call or video session. I look forward to working with you.
