Support Accessible Mental Health Care
At the Centre for Psychodynamic Insights, we believe that financial barriers should not prevent people from accessing quality mental health care.
Through our Affordable Care Program, we strive to make psychotherapy and other mental health services more accessible to individuals who may not otherwise be able to afford them. As a private clinic, we fund these initiatives ourselves whenever possible.
If you would like to support these efforts, you are welcome to make a voluntary contribution. Contributions help us expand access to reduced-fee services and continue developing programs that improve access to care within our community.
Our Commitment to Accessibility
Voluntary contributions may be used to support initiatives such as:
Expanding access to OHIP-covered mental health services by supporting the recruitment and onboarding of physicians, allowing more eligible Ontario patients to receive psychiatric care at no cost.
Reduced-fee psychotherapy through our Affordable Care Program.
Expanding access to specialized mental health services.
Community mental health education and resources.
Accessibility initiatives that help reduce barriers to care.
How Your Contribution Will Be Used
Expanding Access to OHIP-Covered Mental Health Care
One of the primary ways voluntary contributions support accessibility at the Centre is by helping us recruit and onboard physicians who provide OHIP-covered mental health services. Eligible Ontario patients can access these services at no cost to them, helping reduce financial barriers to psychiatric care.
Recruiting, credentialing, and onboarding a physician is a significant investment. Depending on the specialty and recruitment process, the cost of bringing a physician into practice can range from approximately $5,000 to $40,000. These costs may include recruitment, licensing and credentialing support, onboarding, training, technology, administrative setup, and other operational expenses required to establish a high-quality clinical service.
By supporting these efforts, you are helping us expand access to publicly funded mental health services and increase the availability of OHIP-covered care for individuals and families across Ontario.
Anyone is welcome to make a voluntary contribution. You do not need to be a patient of the Centre for Psychodynamic Insights to support our accessibility initiatives.
Contributions are entirely voluntary and are not required to access services at our clinic.
Choosing whether or not to contribute will never influence the availability or quality of care provided by the Centre.
If you wish, you may choose to be recognized as a supporter on our website through our Supporter Spotlight. You may also choose to remain anonymous.
The Centre for Psychodynamic Insights is a private healthcare clinic and is not a registered charity. As a result, contributions are not tax-deductible, and charitable tax receipts cannot be issued.
Contributions are used at the clinic's discretion to support our Affordable Care Program and other initiatives that improve access to mental health care.
