Join Us As a Psychiatrist
About the Centre for Psychodynamic Insights:
The Centre for Psychodynamic Insights is a Canadian virtual mental healthcare clinic offering comprehensive, interdisciplinary, and integrated care across psychotherapy, psychiatry, family medicine, psychological assessments, and neurological assessments.
Our clinic is rooted in a psychodynamic and psychoanalytic understanding of mental health, with a focus on uncovering, understanding, and addressing the underlying emotions, unconscious patterns, and root causes that contribute to symptoms and relational difficulties. Through in-depth clinical assessment, collaborative discussion, and evidence-based treatment planning, we support patients in developing greater self-awareness, relieving symptoms, and working toward lasting change.
At the Centre for Psychodynamic Insights, we are committed to thoughtful, patient-centred, and integrated mental healthcare. Our model allows us to support patients with complex psychological, psychiatric, medical, developmental, cognitive, and neurological concerns through a comprehensive and collaborative approach.
About the Position:
This role is ideal for a psychiatrist with expertise in psychodynamic or psychoanalytic therapy who values in-depth, long-term therapeutic engagement. In addition to providing comprehensive psychotherapy, you will conduct psychiatric assessments, prescribe psychotropic medications when appropriate, and monitor patients’ responses and side effects over time. You will also provide psychoeducation about medication use within a psychodynamically informed treatment framework.
Working virtually with children, adolescents, or adults, depending on your clinical preferences, you will address a broad range of concerns, including trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, neurodevelopmental conditions, personality disorders, complex relational concerns, and other mental health difficulties. You will be joining a growing interdisciplinary clinic that offers psychodynamic psychotherapy, psychiatric care, family medicine, psychological assessments, and neurological assessments.
